Pre-Season 2024

Welcome to Leichhardt Wanderers Netball Club, Inc. Here is some key information for the 2024 Winter Netball season.

2024 Winter Season Key Dates (Updated 15/02/2024)

  • Registrations open: 1st week in January

  • Registrations - Winter Junior (10-15yrs), Cadets (16&17yrs), Seniors (18yrs+) + Mixed & Men's Competitions close: Saturday, 10th February

  • LWNC Grading: Sunday, 11th February

  • LWNC Coach & Team Manager Info night: Thursday, 29th February (6:00pm to 7:30pm)

  • Registrations - Winter Woolworths Net Set Go - Mini Magpies program (5-7yrs) and Modified Competition (8&9yrs): Thursday, 29th February

  • Training starts: Thursday, 7th March

  • LWNC Uniforms Pop-Up Shop #1: Friday, 15th March (4:30pm to 5:30pm)

  • IWNA Rules & Umpire Coaching Workshop: Monday, 11th March (6:30pm @ Cintra)

  • IWNA Junior Umpire Clinic: Saturday, 16th March (9:00am to 11:00am @ Cintra)

  • IWNA Coaches Practical Coaching Course: Saturday, 23rd March (08:30am to 10:30am @ Cintra)

  • LWNC Uniforms Pop-Up Shop #2: Sunday, 24th March (2:00pm to 4:00pm)

  • Fixture released: Sunday, 24th March

  • LWNC Uniforms Pop-Up Shop #3: Friday, 5th April (4:30pm to 5:30pm)

  • Start of Season 2024 (Round 1): Saturday, 6th April

  • Grand Finals: Saturday, 7th September

  • Please also let your 2023 coach/manager know what your netball plans are for the 2024 winter season. Alternatively please contact our registrar Emma directly at lwnc.register@gmail.com

 

  • For those players wanting to play in Div 1 teams in the U10, U11, U12 or U13 age groups, we will be conducting on-court trials on Sunday, 11th of February, 2024 at Robyn Webster Sports Centre, Tempe - more details to come soon.

 

  • Mixed netball participation is increasing at an exponential rate at the club, and we're hoping for this to continue in 2024. If you're registered in a non-mixed winter comp team, there's no extra charge to join a mixed team. Please let us know if you or any of your friends are interested.
