Come for the netball, stay for the community!”
Coaches
Join LWNC Inc as a coach – a commitment that needs passion, a bit of organisation and just a few hours each week.
As a coach, you'll have the chance to share your knowledge and pass on your love for the game to the next generation of players. You’ll also see firsthand your team as they learn, grow and progress.
Have you ever thought about umpiring to ‘up’ your game? If the answer is yes, great, get your whistle ready, we need you.
Netball umpiring isn’t really about enforcing rules – it’s an integral part of the netball community as umpires help keep the game safe, fair and fun for everyone. We welcome new and experienced umpires to our program.
Umpires
NetSetGo - Mini Magpies
Mini Magpies is part of the Suncorp NetSetGO, Australia’s official starter program for girls and boys aged 5-7.
It’s a chance to learn the netball basics, get outside and make some friends. For a lot of kids, this is the first time they’ll pick up a netball or put on a bib. It’s a learning experience and a lot of fun.
The program is run at Cintra Park by trained LWNC coaches who are assisted by some of our older players.
Uniforms
We are excited to announce that LWNC uniforms will be available online via our partnership with KPI Sports from January 2025. Click on the link below to find out more.

Sponsorship
LWNC Inc is the largest netball club in the inner west with over 1,000 players registered over the Winter and Summer Netball Seasons.
We are always interested in developing partnerships with local businesses of all sizes to help support our netball community. Sponsors provide much needing funding for training equipment, player development, coaching and umpiring clinics and end of year presentation expenses that benefit everyone in our Club. Sponsorship is not just for big business! It’s a great opportunity for local businesses to engage with our community while increasing awareness of their products and services and building goodwill.
About us
Leichhardt Wanderers has been part of the Inner West community since 1911, when the original club was founded - now recognised as the oldest continuously operating junior league club in Australia.
Netball joined the Wanderers family in 2009, when the former unincorporated Leichhardt Wanderers Netball Club began with just two teams. With the support of dedicated volunteers, the club grew rapidly over the next 15 years, reaching 64 teams by 2023 and becoming the largest netball club in Sydney’s Inner West.
In December 2023, the Club formalised its structure by establishing Leichhardt Wanderers Netball Club Inc (LWNC Inc)
LWNC Inc is an inclusive club that is built on good governance, positive team spirit, good sportsmanship and encouragement. We welcome the young and young at heart to join in the wonderful game of netball.
